Privacy Policy

This policy explains what DoggoMatch.com (“DoggoMatch”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the site, and what happens to it. The site is run by Sam Okafor, 128 River Rd, Hendersonville, Tennessee. Questions go to contact@doggomatch.com.
Information we collect
Matcher settings. The breed matcher runs in your browser. Your slider settings are stored in the page address (the part after the # sign) so you can bookmark or share them. They are not sent to our server.
Quiz answers. Quiz answers are kept in your browser’s session storage so the quiz can work across pages. They are not sent to our server and are cleared when you close the tab or retake the quiz.
Cookie choice. We store your cookie choice (accept or decline) in your browser so we do not ask again on every page.
Technical data. Our hosting and security providers receive standard technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser, device type, the page you asked for and the page that sent you. If you accept cookies, our analytics tool also receives information about how you use the site.
Emails. If you write to us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
We do not offer accounts, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We only load analytics cookies after you choose Accept in the cookie notice. Advertising partners, if ads are shown, may also use cookies as described below. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Analytics
If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. We ask Google to shorten IP addresses before storing them. Google’s own privacy policy applies to that data.
Advertising
We may show ads from third-party vendors, including Google. These vendors may use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to this site and other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show ads based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet. Share buttons and links
When you use a share button for Facebook, Pinterest or X, or follow a link to another site, you leave DoggoMatch and that site’s privacy policy applies.
How we use information
We use it to run and protect the site, fix problems, understand which pages help people, show ads, answer messages and meet legal duties. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only with the service providers that help run the site, such as hosting, security, analytics and advertising partners, and with authorities when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Server logs and analytics data are kept for a limited period set by those providers. Emails are kept as long as we need them to deal with your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, for example in California, another US state with a privacy law, the EU or the UK, you may have the right to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to limit or object to some uses of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Email contact@doggomatch.com with your request and we will answer within the time the law allows.
Children
DoggoMatch is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the site and the little data we hold, but no website can promise perfect security.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date.
