Disclaimer
DoggoMatch.com shares general information about dog breeds. It is not veterinary advice, and it is not a replacement for a vet, a certified trainer or a veterinary behaviourist.
Breeds are averages
Breed scores, sizes, lifespans and traits describe what is typical. Each dog is an individual. Health, training, early life and plain personality can make a dog very different from its breed’s profile. Meet the dog, and ask the breeder, rescue or shelter about that dog.
Health information
Health sections list conditions that are known to be common in a breed. They do not mean your dog will have them, and they are not a diagnosis. Your vet can tell you what to screen for. If your dog seems unwell, call your vet. In an emergency, go to an emergency vet clinic.
Allergies
No dog is allergy-proof. Low-shedding breeds can still cause reactions in some people. If allergies are a concern, spend time with the breed before you commit, and talk to your doctor.
Costs
Prices and monthly costs are rough US ranges and change by region and over time. They are a starting point for your budget, not a quote.
No sponsored breeds or promises
We do not take money to rank breeds, and we do not promise any outcome from the matcher or the quizzes. If a page ever includes an affiliate link or a sponsor, it will say so on that page.

The author and operator of the site are not responsible for decisions made based on its content. Choosing a dog is a long commitment, so take your time.
